3rd National Workshop on Nanotechnology: Awards and certificates session
At the end of the workshop event, certificates and awards were distributed to the participant by the organizing committee members. 3rd National Nanotechnology Workshop: Sixth Talk
Sixth talk was given to Dr. Emad O. Badradeen. The title of his talk was: High Performance Nanostructured Flexible Photodetector Devices. Flexible electronics have attracted significant attention in various areas, such as flexible displays, sensors, batteries, solar panels, and health care monitoring. This talk presented the design, fabrication, and test of flexible nanostructured photodetectors constructed with vertically aligned nanorods bonded to a flexible polymeric substrate.

Research work presentation
The Department of Physics, Faculty of Education organized a research workshop on 28th November, 2018. A research proposal entitled "Nanomaterials Towards Green Technology" has been presented by Dr. Muhammad Hisham. The research proposal was about the synthesis of Nanomaterials by facile approaches and the possible applications of Nanomaterials in environmental applications and in the production of clean energy. Sharing experience activities
Sharing experience activity aims to improve the knowledge of the fresh student about the University environment and aims to strength the bond and the contact between the students as well. Senior students from the 4th grade presented and shared their experience with the fresh students. At the end, students were awarded certificate by the department of Physics.
Farewell lunch
The Physics Department, Faculty of Education organised farewell activities such as lunch invitation to the 4th-year students. Students were invited to the one of the famous restaurant in Erbil city and they gathered Physics staff members with fruitful time. Besides, the events included snapping photos, the students received certificates by the lecturers as well.
Sharing experience with senior students
The department of Physics organized experience sharing activities. In this activity, senior students from the 4th-year presented and shared their experience with the fresh students. Such activity aims to improve the fresh student knowledge about the University environment and aims to strength the bond and the contact between the students as well.
Annual Football Cup
Deanery of Students, Sport Activities office organised a Football Cup for TISHK International University Students and Staff. On 13th of June, 2019 the final match was played between Dentistry First Grade and Physics at 7:00 pm. The Physics Department team won the second place. Medals and cups were given to the first and the second won teams.
Google classroom workshop
A google classroom workshop was presented by a staff member in the Physics education department, on 16th and 17th June 2019. The workshop presented some options and benefits of google classroom with a working frame. During the workshop, some important points were highlighted and discussed. The workshop offered a promising tools to the teachers and lecturers that could facilitate teaching and improve the teaching quality as well.
Football Tournament 2018
The Faculty of Education, Tishk University organized a football tournament for the departments of Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Biology Education, and English Language Teaching.The tournament took a place at the University Soccer Field. On May 12, 2019 Physics Education Department's students performed presentations about “Using teaching materials in Physics lessons. The presentation was “Using 3 materials to teach 10 different subjects in physics for each material.” Students were encouraged to find and use simple and handy materials to deliver and teach important subjects and concepts in Physics. Lecturers from the Physics Department evaluated student’s presentations with the prepared models.

On April 29th 2019, the Department of Physics Education organized with the Civil Engineering Department-Tishk International University-Sulaimani a Joint National Workshop on Engineering Applications of Nanotechnology. Four lecturers were participated in the workshop from and presented their valuable researches. Researchers were from TIU-Erbil, TIU-Sulaimani, Soran University and Koya University. Hydroelectricity production: A Scientific tour 2019
The Physics Department, Faculty of Education has organized a scientific tour entitled Hydroelectric power. The tour involved the participation of second-year students by visiting the Civil Engineering labs. Lecturers and lab assistance explained the construction of dams and the important principles and concepts in producing hydrostatic power. Designed prototypes were introduced inside the labs to enable students to well understand important points in hydroelectricity production.
Tree Planting 2019
On the 14th of March 2019, Tishk International University organized a tree planting activity as an attempt to save and to enhance nature. Our fourth year students successfully finished their school experience practices by the end of spring term. They attended different high schools and secondary schools in Erbil city. The School experience is one of the most important course among the others courses that they took at the 4th year. 3-D Astronomy Model Exhibition
On Tuesday 10th of January, 2017 the Department of Physics Education held the astronomy model presentation at the entrance of the faculty of education building. Students prepared various 3-D Astronomy models. A group of jury members judge their presentations and models.
Earth Science 3-D Model and Poster Exhibition
On 25th of May 2017 there was an activity of the second grade physics education students about Earth Science. It took place in the Education Faculty Building main entrance hall. Students prepared three dimensional (3-D) models and poster exhibition about different topics of Earth Structure and Space. They presented their works to the jury members of physics education department. Students from other departments also visited the exhibition.
