Defence by Vinos Musher Faris, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Samir M. Hamad and Associated Prof. Dr Azeez A. Barzinjy, held in the Scientific Research Center at Soran University. The thesis discussed Green Synthesis of Metal, Metal Oxide and Composite Nanoparticles for Harvesting Solar Energy. We congratulate both the student and her supervisors for their outstanding achievements.

Defence by Muhammed Najat Rashko, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Mazin Sherzad and Assist. Prof. Dr Abubakr Hassan. The defence was held in GIS Hall, Scientific Research Center at Soran University. Polycrystalline Silicon Solar Cells Polycrystalline silicon solar cells are the most common solar cells used in commercially available solar panels, representing more than 85% of world PV cell market sales.  A research group led by Associate Professor Dr Azeez A. Barzinjy worked to design, model and create the new ultra-thin layer on the top of the available commercial photovoltaic cells.
