9th ICOWOBAS-2023 Event
From May 8th to May 10th, 2023, Tishk International University had the privilege of hosting the prestigious 9th International Conference and Workshop on Basic and Applied Sciences (ICOWOBAS-2023). The conference brought together a diverse gathering of four hundred presenters and listeners from across the globe.
ICOWOBAS was initially established in 2007 with the aim of fostering collaboration between universities in Indonesia and Malaysia. Since then, the conference has been hosted by different participating institutions every two years. This year, Tishk International University had the honour of being selected as the host institution, alongside Salahaddin University Erbil (Iraq), Universitas Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), and Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia).
The conference received an impressive total of 170 paper submissions, which were reviewed by a panel of subject matter experts. The rigorous selection process ensured the highest quality of research and academic contributions. The event featured 15 keynote speakers from various nations, including Poland, Italy, Romania, Malaysia, Indonesia, as well as local professors. These speakers shared their insights and experiences, providing attendees with unique perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in the field of basic and applied sciences.
The 9th International Conference and Workshop on Basic and Applied Sciences at Tishk International University served as a platform for intellectual exchange and the dissemination of cutting-edge research. It was a momentous occasion that further advanced the global scientific community’s understanding and collaboration in the pursuit of knowledge.
