A Scientific Field Trip to Research Center in Soran University
On February 23rd, 2023, the Physics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, organized a scientific excursion for third-grade and fourth-grade students to the Research Center at Soran University. Upon arrival, the Head of Research Center, Professor Dr. Samir Mustafa Hamad, and staff warmly welcomed the lecturers and students of TIU. Professor Dr. Samir Mustafa Hamad provided an insightful seminar on the Research Center, its facilities, and the laboratories available to students.
Following the presentation, students and their supervisor were given a guided tour of the Nanotechnology, Biochemistry, Phytochemistry, and Geology Laboratory, which are equipped with advanced laboratory devices. Respected lecturers at Soran University, Ms. Vinos, Ms. Shuala, Mr. Ranjber, Ms. Zhila, and Mr. Payman, provided a comprehensive oral presentation on the lab’s operations and equipment.
The students had an informative and enlightening time with the Soran University staff. The Physics Education Department expresses sincere gratitude to the lecturer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azeez Abdullah Barzinjy, for supervising the excursion and to the Soran University staff members for their efforts, sincerity, and hospitality.
