Physics Education Department Participates in 6th International Spring Festival Event 2023
The Dean of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) organized the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture and Science at the TIU campus under the theme of Women Empowerment, held on March 8th, 2023. The Physics Education Department participated in the event, demonstrating different scientific experiments (Observing the Sun and Sunspots with a telescope, primary colour combinations using a universal rotator, electric generator, homemade vacuum cleaner, Van Der Graaf Generator, animation wheel, anti-gravity using Faraday’s Law and Lenz’s Law, demos with the Plasma Globe and Center of Mass). Additionally, our students represented Egypt in the festival, and volunteers dressed in traditional Egyptian clothing. The students also described Egyptian history and culture to visitors and served Egyptian dessert and juice during the event. Our students also participated in a food fundraising activity, in which they prepared homemade food, dessert and drinks for the event participants. On behalf of the festival organizing committee, we would like to congratulate the department for scoring third place in cultural tents at the festival, and we appreciate the participation of both the staff and students who contributed to the success of this fantastic event.
