The Biology Education department for the second year in a row has organized a “Biology Week Program” on December 7&8 2022. The biology week is an annually program that includes different biology related activities.

Biology Week is a great opportunity to encourage enthusiasm for biology in and around the curriculum. Consequently, our aim in this program was to boost our students’ critical thinking, scientific background, and educational skills by provides a fun selection activity, providing human physiology tests, poster exhibitions, 3D models and edible model competitions, documentary based learning, and scientific competition for students of all grades to explore topics across the two full day program.

One of the main activities of Biology week was Tishk Biology Scientific Competition (TBSC) which was an inspiring competition aimed to engage students to build their skills and test their analytical thinking knowledge. The competition encloses four rounds. The first round is a computer-based test in determined questions from Campbell Biology Book on 29 November 2022 in computer lab # 100. The participants who passed the first round could enter the other rounds. Then, the second, third, and final rounds begin in groups. Each group contains three participants, and they will demonstrate their incredible knowledge on 8 December 2022 in the conference hall of Education building #302
