Scientific trip to water filtration company
On the 2nd of December, 2021, third-stage students participated in a scientific trip organized by the Department of Biology, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University. The visit aimed to show students the process of removing and reducing the concentration of particulate matter, including suspended particles, parasites, bacteria, algae, viruses, and other undesirable chemical and biological contaminants from contaminated water to produce safe and clean water for a specific purpose.
The students were very excited to see the laboratory of a water filtration company in Erbil and to see understand the stages of the filtration process, including sediment, mechanical, chemical, mineral, and bacterial. The laboratory staff were very welcoming and hospitable and explained the biological and chemical aspects of the water filtration process. The staff members also toured our students around the laboratory, the pools, and the pump rooms.
