Internal Seminar: Teaching for Social Change

On September 20th, Mrs. Shnyar Qadir,  Research Assistant in the Biology Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University , delivered a motivational internal seminar titled Teaching for Social Change. The presentation aimed to highlight the significance of education as a spark for constructive social change.

Teaching for social change is a pedagogical approach that aims to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities needed to address societal issues and contribute positively to their communities. In today’s rapidly changing world, education plays a crucial role in shaping not only the minds of future generations but also the direction of our society. It is an approach that seeks to empower students to become active, informed, and compassionate global citizens who can contribute positively to addressing pressing social issues.

Mrs. Shnyar Qadir shed light on how teachers may encourage and equip children to become agents of change in their communities and beyond. Teaching for social change is not just a pedagogical approach; it’s a commitment to shaping a more equitable, inclusive, and compassionate world through the power of learning.
