Physics Education Department Participates in 6th International Spring Festival Event 2023 The Dean of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) organized the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture and Science at the TIU campus under the theme of Women Empowerment, held on March 8th, 2023. The Physics Education Department participated in the event, demonstrating different scientific experiments (Observing the Sun and Sunspots with a telescope, primary colour combinations using a universal rotator, electric generator, homemade vacuum cleaner, Van Der Graaf Generator, animation wheel, anti-gravity using Faraday's Law and Lenz's Law, demos with the Plasma Globe and Center of Mass). Visiting Your Future On February 21st, 2023, to attract students’ attention to studying in Physics Education, we invited Shkarta School from Ranya to introduce our department and TIU to the students and teachers, 125 students from Shkarta High School, one of Ranya Region's schools, visited Tishk International University as part of the Visiting Your Future Program held by the university. Astronomy Club 4th Activity On March 1st, 2023, at 6:00 PM, the Physics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University organized the fourth Astronomy Club event in front of the Education Building. The selected timing allowed us to efficiently utilize a telescope to observe Jupiter and its two moons, as well as the moon at night. Department of Physics Staff Visit the New TIU Library On September 21st, 2022, the Head of the Department of Physics Education at Tishk International University and department staff visited the new TIU library. The Library Director accompanied the staff during the tour, explaining the library sections and how they manage the library workflow. The Department of Physics was delighted to see many textbooks in different physics fields brought to the library.
