A group of students 11 and 12 grade students from Harir School pay a visit to Tishk International University (TIU) specially to department of mathematics. Trip to Salahaddin University-Erbil Academic year 2021-2022. Apart from traditional lectures, scientific and educational visits are part of community-oriented education. In this context, the Department of Mathematics at Tishk International University paid a visit to the Mathematics Department at Salahuddin University on November 29th, 2021. This was an educational trip as well as an excursion; an opportunity for our students to attain good knowledge and obtain real-time exposure. This was also helpful in refreshing the student’s minds. On 14th October 2021, the Department of Mathematics Education organized a national workshop under the theme, “New Approaches to Improve Teaching Quality of University Level Mathematics”. The workshop was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, President of Tishk International University, and addressed by the Dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Suleyman Celik. The first ICOWOBAS was held 14 years ago, in August 2007, in Surabaya. The purpose of the event was to enhance a new collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. A year later, the second ICOWOBAS was held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 3-4 June 2009, jointly with the Regional Annual Fundamental Science Seminar (RAFSS 2009). In 2017, the conference was held at Salahaddin University (Kurdistan, Iraq) to enrich the collaboration between UTM, UNAIR, and Salahaddin University.
