Trip to Salahaddin University-Erbil Academic year 2021-2022.
Apart from traditional lectures, scientific and educational visits are part of community-oriented education. In this context, the Department of Mathematics at Tishk International University paid a visit to the Mathematics Department at Salahuddin University on November 29th, 2021. This was an educational trip as well as an excursion; an opportunity for our students to attain good knowledge and obtain real-time exposure. This was also helpful in refreshing the student’s minds.
Approximately 30 students along with 4 department staff participated. We were warmly welcomed by Dr. Waleed Aziz, Representative of the Head of Mathematics Department, Mr. Hunar Taher, Department Coordinator, and Mrs. Ala Omar, a staff member at the department. We then took a tour around the college campus and visited the Dean of the College, Dr. Herish Omar. During the college tour, we paid a visit to the college library and stopped by the Department of Earth Sciences and Petroleum, where two staff members introduced us to stone items in their department.
Dr. Orhan Tug discussed the visit and together, we watched the faculty promotion video. Our students also took an opportunity to present promotion bags to their peers, and in return, they were also given a wonderful gift by a third-stage student, Yusuf. Dr. Waleed Aziz also presented a Plaque of Appreciation to our department.
We are very grateful for their amazing hospitality and would like to express our appreciation to the department and college. We, furthermore, look forward to welcoming them to our faculty in the near future and wish to further collaborate with the University of Salahaddin, for academic development and excellence.
