Objectives
The program’s aspirations for the graduates are to:
- Develop a solid foundation in mathematics, including concepts in pre-calculus, finite mathematics, and advanced calculus and appreciate history and development of mathematics.
- Gain proficiency in fundamental mathematical theories, such as linear algebra, abstract algebra, complex analysis, and differential equations.
- Acquire strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities through extensive practice in mathematics.
- Enhance language proficiency in English, Turkish, and Kurdology for ease of communication, analysis, and evaluation of mathematical concepts and arguments.
- Understand the principles and methods of teaching mathematics, educational psychology, guidance and counselling, and pedagogical techniques preparing them to effectively engage and teach students in mathematics.
- Develop programming language like Python and computational skills using mathematical software such as MATLAB to solve mathematical problems and perform data analysis.
- Familiarize with foundational concepts in physics and their mathematical applications, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge.
- Engage in research projects, developing skills in conducting independent research and presenting findings in the field of mathematics.
