On February 25th,2021, the Head of the Mathematics Education Department, Dr. Orhan Tug, conducted a seminar regarding the workshop. Around 30 students from the Department attended the session, which aimed to clarify all the details concerning the event and explain the workshop arrangements that will be held on March 6th,2021.
Great social activity was organized by freshman students of the Mathematics Education Department and Computer Education Department at Tishk International University campus. On February 25th, 2021, freshman students of the Mathematics Education Department and Computer Education Department invited the Departmental staff to have lunch, in which they brought homemade traditional food including Dolma, Biryani, stuffed chicken...etc. On behalf of the Faculty of Education, we would like to thank the students for this wonderful gathering and for their hard effort.
As mathematics education department at tishk International university we had a International Workshop with Tempere University. On February 18, 2021 starting by 14:00 till 17:00 in education building, Hall: 302(Online). In total there were 37- participants form faculty of education and some participants from Tempere University. A competition between students was organized by the Mathematics Education Department on February 17th,2021.
The Dean of Students organized the 1st TIU Book Fair, held from February 8th till February 11th, 2021, at Tishk International University’s campus. Six different houses and bookstores participated in the fair. The event aimed to raise awareness of reading amongst TIU society, and also provide a platform for interaction and networking between students and lecturers.

On 20th January 2021, the Department of Mathematics Education organized a workshop to discuss changing the syllabuses in the department. The aim of the workshop was to streamline the department's course syllabi based on the department's specifications and requirements. During the workshop, 1st-grade and 2nd-grade syllabi were re-written. The suggestions will be submitted to the university council for approval and ratification.
