8th ICOWOBAS 2021

The first ICOWOBAS was held 14 years ago, in August 2007, in Surabaya. The purpose of the event was to enhance a new collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. A year later, the second ICOWOBAS was held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 3-4 June 2009, jointly with the Regional Annual Fundamental Science Seminar (RAFSS 2009). In 2017, the conference was held at Salahaddin University (Kurdistan, Iraq) to enrich the collaboration between UTM, UNAIR, and Salahaddin University. Mathematics Department Pre-Defense for 4th Graders

4th Grade students of the Mathematics Department presented their pre-defense to the department committee on May 6th, 2021. Each student presented their project, demonstrating the different topics and several subjects in mathematics, involving pure math, math education and pure education. The committee members included Prof. Dr. Mowafaq Muhammed, Dr. Orhan Tug, Dr. Abdulnasir Isah, Dr. Salisu Ibrahim, Dr. Aziza Kavlu and Mr. David Wafula Waswa. The Mathematics Education Department of Tishk International University organized a poster presentation for 4th-grade students under the theme of 'The History of Mathematics', on Sunday 2nd, 2021. The posters were designed based on the most famous mathematicians around the world and illustrated their contributions towards the development of mathematics and the world in general.  Each student designed a poster according to the mathematician that motivates them and inspires them. Dear Students, We would like to inform you that our online classes will start tomorrow, April 1st, 2021, till April 10th, 2021. To enter your classes, we will share the zoom link with you through the SIS system. As mentioned previously, the regulations of online classes should be implemented, and all students in live online classes are to be on webcam throughout the session. The Faculty of Education of Tishk International University organized a Football Tournament which took place from 16th of December to 11th of February. 8 teams were formed from 64 players; students from all grades and departments of the Education Faculty participated in the tournament, and all teams displayed great friendship and fair play during the games. The final match was played between Mathematics students and Biology students on the 11th of December, 2021, at 16:00 PM.
