Debate on “Should the language of our schools be English or Kurdish?” held in Tishk International University on 6th January of 2019.The debate was between  salahaddin University and cihan University. The debate included 8 participants, each participant had 4 minutes to support his/her argument.At the end of the intersting debate which lasted over one hour, Salahaddin was declared a winner by the Jury Committee.

Just Talk Club ELT Department organized the talk club for Education Faculty for the sake of providing a platform to motivate students to communicate, interact, feel comfortable to speak up and give them chances to be innovators. Debate on "Should death penalty be implemented according to law" held in Tishk International University on 29th January of 2019.The debate was between University of Kurdistan and Erbil Polytechniuqe University. The debate included 8 participants, each participant had 4 minutes to support his/her argument.At the end of the intersting debate which lasted over one hour, University of Kurdistan was declared a winner by the Jury Committee.

The 2nd National Nanotechnology Workshop was organized by Physics Education Department, Education Faculty, Tishk International University on Dec 23 and 24, 2018 at Ishık University, Education Faculty Building in Erbil. The opening ceremony started on Dec 23rd with a welcoming speech beside an introduction about the university profile was given by the head of board of trustees of Tishk International University, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih. His speech included the mission and vision and the future prospect of the Tishk International University.
