The 6th National NASCON conference was conducted in the Education building on May 4th, 2019. The Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Suleiman Celik, and many teachers and professors from different departments in the university attended the conference.
Dr. Suleiman Celik, Dean of Education Faculty, and a conference chair commenced the event with an opening speech. Dr. Stephne Churchill gave a speech to set out the central theme of the conference.
The session of presentations began at 11:15 in various classes which were all arranged by students from TIU with the management of Dr. Hamdi Serin- a lecturer at TIU, and a conference chair. The speakers totaled 167 and there was a sum of 136 papers by students from 5 different universities all over the Kurdistan Region.
The end of the conference was reached at 15:50 with closing remarks given by Nuha Nawshewan, who is an organizing committee member of the conference.
The intention behind the conference was to give the students a chance to organize an event without assistance from the staff, and to observe the level of communication with students from other universities in the same field.
