The English Language Teaching (ELT) Department at Tishk International University (TIU) successfully carried out a heartwarming community project to support students at Kani Gulan Primary School. The initiative, which involved donating 475 stationery bags, aimed to equip children with the basic tools they need for a successful academic journey.
The project was completed through four well-organized stages, demonstrating how thoughtful efforts and teamwork can create a significant positive impact. On January 30, 2025, ELT staff and 20 student volunteers visited the school to personally hand out the bags, receiving warm smiles and appreciation from the students and teachers.
Project Stages
- Stage 1: Planning the Project (November 10, 2024) The ELT Department met to discuss a meaningful way to contribute to the local community and decided to donate stationery to a nearby school.
- Stage 2: Gaining Permission A team visited Kani Gulan Primary School to meet with the staff and receive official approval for the donation.
- Stage 3: Packing the Bags With the help of 20 student volunteers, the team meticulously packed 475 stationery bags with essential school supplies.
- Stage 4: Distribution Day (January 30, 2025) ELT staff and volunteers visited the school and distributed the bags, creating a memorable and joyful experience for everyone involved.
This initiative reflects Tishk International University’s ongoing commitment to community service and educational support. Through teamwork and compassion, the ELT Department helped make a positive impact on young learners’ academic journeys.
