As part of its commitment to community engagement and educational development, the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department organized a three-day training series from May 12–14, 2026. The initiative was designed to support the department’s objective of promoting community outreach through educational support programs, literacy initiatives, and skill-development opportunities.
The training series commenced on May 12, 2026, with a session titled “Beyond the Classroom: How Tutoring and After-School Programs Boost Learning,” presented by Ms. Shahida Nurmadova. The session explored the importance of tutoring and after-school educational support programs in enhancing student learning, providing academic assistance, and fostering positive educational outcomes beyond the traditional classroom environment.
On May 13, 2026, Dr. Abdurrahman Wahab delivered a presentation entitled “Reading Clubs and Literacy: Importance and Efforts.” The session highlighted the role of reading clubs, community libraries, and literacy initiatives in encouraging reading habits, strengthening literacy skills, and supporting lifelong learning within the wider community.
The training series concluded on May 14, 2026, with Ms. Aivar Lukman presenting “The Impact of Supplementary Education Programs on Student Achievement.” Participants examined how supplementary educational programs contribute to student success by addressing learning gaps, reinforcing classroom instruction, and promoting academic achievement.
The ELT Department extends its sincere appreciation to the presenters and participants whose contributions made this training series a valuable and successful professional development experience.
