The English Language Teaching (ELT) Department successfully conducted its Professional Development Week from September 18–24, 2025, bringing together all ELT academic staff for a series of meetings, workshops, and discussions aimed at preparing for the upcoming academic year.
The primary objective of the professional development activities was to review, evaluate, and enhance departmental practices, including course syllabi, teaching materials, handbooks, assessment procedures, and academic policies. The sessions provided a valuable opportunity for staff members to reflect on current practices, address challenges, and implement improvements that will contribute to the quality of teaching, learning, and academic administration within the department.
The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Venera Ulker, Soma Hassan, and Aivar Lukman, who led discussions on a wide range of academic and administrative topics.
