The Faculty of Education successfully administrated a Table Tennis Tournament for its students to participate in. The tournament started early February and progressed throughout the semester. There were almost 30 players from the Education Faculty and they all enthusiastically engaged in the tournament. Didar Mohammad from ELT (4th) and Salman Haidar from Physics (2nd) advanced to the finals after triumphing over their opponents. The final match was an intense battle between the two; they were surrounded by spectators who were supporting and cheering for their favorites. The Faculty of Education in Tishk International University holds a weekly debate competition between several prominent universities of kurdistan aiming to boost up the academic, critical, intellectual, and argumentation skills of undergraduate students of such universities. Among these 16 participant universities, and meanwhile running the 3rd round of the competition, Soran university matches Salahaddin University. The debate session was run on 10th April 2019 and took 1 hour and half. The debate competition witnessed the evaluation of several judges assessing the academic efficiency of the debaters on certain academic rubric. A professional development course for ELT seniors MAD institution will be offering a teacher training course (TTC) for Tishk International University pre-service teachers on 06-07/04/2019, from 10:00 to 17:00 p.m. The program is designed to familiarize senior students on How to teach receptive and productive skills, how to teach grammar, the difference between adults and young learner’s lesson shapes, how to teach vocabulary, Error correction and feedback, basic of phonics for young learners, classroom management, young learners classroom dynamics. Debate on "Which one makes people avoid doing evil, the power of law or conscince?" held in Tishk International University on 30th January of 2019.The debate was between  Komar University and Soran University. The debate included 8 participants, each participant had 4 minutes to support his/her argument.At the end of the intersting debate which lasted over one hour, SORAN was declared a winner by the Jury Committee.

On the date of 10th of January, 2019,organized an event to change the flag, by bringing down the Tishk International University Flag and Raising The Tishk International University flag. The event started at 10:00 am, during the event Dr. Idrtis Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and the president of Tishk International University, mentioned about the process and congratulated the students for the event, he talked about the reasons for being international, that the university applies all the conditions to be an International University.
