First year students of Physics with Biology and Math Departments conducted a workshop about “Soft Skills” on Wednesday 11th April. Mr. Sarwan Hasan, who is a lecturer in Education Faculty, supervised the workshop with the cooperation of foundation teachers as Mr. Unal and Mr. Rizgar. The workshop started at 9:00 AM at the room 301 in the Faculty of Education and continued for three hours.
What is worth mentioning, the whole workshop was presented by the first year students in English Language. Besides, it was a student based activity, in which the teachers were only considered as guests.
The topics were mostly about the soft skills to improve language and academic skills. The topics were: quicker memorization, Education process, fluency in English language, learning styles, effective communication skills and public speaking. Besides, the students also performed a short comedy act, which was about different accents of English language.
We would like to thank Mr. Sarwan Hasan, Mr. Unal and Mr. Rizgar for giving us their valuable times during the workshop.
