Mechanics I Poster Presentation Enhances Students’ Scientific Communication Skills
The Physics Education Department at Tishk International University organized a poster presentation activity as part of the Mechanics I course, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of fundamental concepts in mechanics through visual presentations.
During the activity, students designed and prepared educational posters covering various topics from the Mechanics I curriculum, including motion, forces, Newton’s laws, work and energy, momentum, and related physical principles. Students presented their posters to lecturers and classmates, explaining the concepts and engaging in scientific discussions by answering questions from the audience.
The activity encouraged active learning and helped students strengthen their research, analytical, and presentation skills. By translating theoretical concepts into visual representations, students were able to communicate scientific ideas more effectively and deepen their understanding of the course material.
The Physics Education Department continues to promote innovative teaching and learning practices that enhance student engagement and support the development of future physics educators.
