Celebration of International Astronomy Day
The Astronomy Club at the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, announces an exhibition on Sunday, October 29th, 2023, at 2:00 PM to celebrate International Astronomy Day, a worldwide event. The aim of the event is to familiarise students with the astronomical aspects and set up astronomical telescopes in front of the Faculty of Education to observe the sun’s surface. The astronomy club will hold activities such as sunspots, solar flares, and solar prominence. The department has also invited Mr. Azhy Chato Hasan to share his experiences with us. He is a well-known expert on astronomical observation of sun activities and is the Director of the Kurdistan Astronomical Organization in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the astronomical observatory for solar radiation at the College of Science at Salahaddin University. Our exhibition includes various activities, as stated below:
