Dear students, Tishk International University (Faculty of Education) has arranged the 8th student conference under the title of "8th National Young Researchers Conference", to be held on May 19th , 2021. We, as the Education Faculty, are working on developing a student agency to promote student achievement. Students need to be active participants during their academic journey. On December 9th 2020, the Department of Physics conducted an orientation program for the first grade students of the department. During the first day of the program, a presentation was given about the university in general, the physics department and how to operate on the university's system. All departmental staff joined the program to introduce themselves to the newcomers and welcome them onboard. After a coffee break, the freshmen toured the University in order to become familiar with all the university's facilities, and learn more about student life, culture on campus and explore the other programs offered by our institution. The Physics Education Department organised a poster presentation event for MATLAB projects of 3rd grade students, on Thursday 7th, January 2021. This poster project was part of the PHYS 340/P Computer Programming course. Around 30 students participated in this activity, and presented their projects under the supervision of Ms. Slvar Abdulaziz, Jury member of both Computer Engineering and Physics Education Departments, who also evaluated the student's performance. On Tuesday March 9th, 2021, Department of Physics Education held its weekly seminar under the title of “The miracle of lighting passage: from the perspective of science and Prophetic Hadith”. The seminar was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mudhaffer from Department of Physics Education with participating department’s staff and students [wds id="49"]

On December 25, 2020, 3rd grade students from department of physics education presented their posters and 3D models about sound and wave lesson. This activity was a part of the course PHYS 303 Sound and Wave Motion. The aim of this poster exhibition was to make students more knowledgeable about the applications of the lesson in our daily life, engage them to the lesson, and to improve their presentation ability in front of people as well. On December 23, 2020, 3rd grade students had poster presentation about Modern Physics lesson. The project was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Azeez Abdullah Barzinjy. Students presented handmade models about their projects. This activity was part of PHYS 302 Modern Physics course. On December 23, 2020, 4th grade students from department of physics education presented their posters and 3D models about Nuclear Physics. This project was part of the physics course PHYS 405 Nuclear Physics. The project was supervised by Asst. On December 8, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “Characterization Techniques”. The seminar was held by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aziz Abdullah Barzinjy, who is our part-time lecturer at Tishk International University from the department of Physics Education.[wds id="46"]

On December 15, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy”. The seminar was held by guest speaker from Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Faiq H.S Hussain. He is the dean of Faculty of Science.[wds id="45"]
