This event took place on February 20-22, 2018 inside the campus of Tishk International University. All of the departments prepared their own stand to introduce and show the project of their student’s department. Each student was registered and received stationary of Tishk International as a small gift. A couple of Seminars were presented each day for all students. On 14.02.2018, the debates were regulated and managed jointly by Mr. Bukhari Abdulla, Ms. Alice Farthing and Dr. Rauf, two lecturers of the Faculty, as well as the assist of Mr. Reman Meena, the chairperson. They tackled plenty of cultural, intellectual, political, educational and scientific issues, problems, and discussions of the Kurdish community specifically and the globe. Within such an activity, the students were encouraged and directed to think critically, plainly, and creatively. On January 11, 2018, an important opportunity has been given to the 3rd and 4th – year students to share their works with other undergraduates and faculty members. Our students in the “Wave and Optics” and “Thermodynamics” classes have prepared instructional modules associated with a poster to testify their ability for explaining “Wave and Optics” and “Thermodynamics” important concepts at the BSc level. Dr Azeez Barzinji supervised Physics 3rd and 4th – year students in this exhibition. We would like to thank Dr Azeez Barzinji for giving us his valuable times during the exhibition.    

Our second year students participated with their fantastic ideas in an exhibition on January 08, 2018. Students in the Advanced English course have prepared posters to testify their ability for explaining different concepts about Physics. Physics Education students exhibited and presented their 3-D astronomy models and posters as a part of PHYS- 470 Astronomy course. On December 21, 2017, 3rd Year students of the Physics Education Department prepared about 20 different projects and presented their projects to the jury members and visitors coming from different departments. The exhibition took place in the main entrance of Tishk International University Education Faculty building. In this event, the fourth year Physics students were assigned as jury members to help the staff of Physics Department in judging and evaluating the third year’s astronomy projects.

In this seminar, attendants were taught the second session of proper pronunciation of some of the major basic terminology in Physics. One slide was used for each term, with the phonemic transcription of the term; and oral practice was done on each term, in order for students to master the terms well. This seminar was presented by Dr Basil Q.
