University Students Ignite Passion for Teaching in Local School Visit

In a dynamic collaboration between local educational institutions, third-grade students from the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU), recently paid a visit to Ishik Gulan International Kindergarten and Primary School on November 30th, 2023.

The visit was arranged by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aziza Kavlu and assisted by Research Assistant Maria Kawa for the Educational Psychology Course. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering a deeper understanding of the teaching profession.

The school, thrilled to host the educators, welcomed the fresh perspectives brought by the university students. In return, the teachers had the chance to observe diverse teaching methodologies and the intricacies of managing a classroom.

Prior to the visit, all teachers were informed and provided with observation reports designed in alignment with the Educational Psychology course. This preparation allowed for a more focused and meaningful engagement. The interaction not only benefitted the university students but also injected a wave of excitement into the school’s atmosphere.

Adding to the enriching experience, the Vice Principal of the school delivered a comprehensive presentation about the school’s teaching methodologies and academic system.

In the spirit of collaboration, this school visit proved to be a great success, creating a symbiotic relationship between the university and the local educational community. The students were inspired by the experience and generated a greater passion for the teaching profession.
