“Teaching Mathematics in the Context of COVID-19 Workshop”

“Content knowledge or knowledge for teaching!”
The Mathematics Education Department has organized a workshop under the title “Teaching Mathematics in the Context of Covid-19 Workshop-22”. This workshop is held annually in the first week of March or at the of February. The aim of the workshop is to hear personal and professional gains from experienced people working in mathematics education/ mathematical fields. According to the program procedure, we invite 5-10 speakers and participants including third and fourth-grade students. This year’s workshop will be held on February 26th,2022 in the Faculty of Education, Tishk International University.
Workshop-22 proposes the main and sub-section of the following subjects.
1- Methodology to teach K-12 mathematics
2- Online math teaching: both positive and negative effects
3- Using PBL projects to teach mathematics
4- Using STEM projects to teach mathematics
5- Using games to teach mathematics
6- Using Storytelling and videos to teach mathematics
7- Using technology to teach mathematics
8- Student motivation and self-directed learning
9- Classroom language and English efficacy
10- Diploma and master programs in mathematics education
11- Olympiad activities and how it contributes to mathematical content knowledge
12- Mathematics department’s works for being an up-to-date teacher
13- University-level mathematical content knowledge and knowledge for teaching: exploring its contributions to student learning.
