Dear all, students of Faculty of Education, we would like to inform you that Mathematics Education Department, with a little delay, is going to celebrate the day of the mathematical constant Pi, 3.141592… which is celebrated world widely on March 14th of every year.

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat Pie.

And also, we will have a memory championship for the digits’ of Pi in which the one who memorized the maximum number of Pi’s digits will get one dollar for each digit.

We look forward to seeing you all there.
