On 19th December 2022, the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University organised a Meet & Greet Event on Understanding Knowledge. In the panel session, Dr. Abdurrahman Ahmed Wahab and Mr. David Wafula Waswa discussed pertinent issues about knowledge and knowledge acquisition, delving into the philosophical and sociological aspects of knowledge, and their relevance to education in the classrooms. The panel discussed the different types of knowledge, the transferability of knowledge, and the notion of a limit to knowledge acquisition. The event was attended by Dr. Orhan Tug, Head of the Mathematics Education Department, lecturers, students from the department, and lecturers from other departments, including the ELT and Biology Departments.
