Mathematics Department Pre-Defence for 4th Graders
4th stage students of the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, presented their pre-defence to the department committee on June 6th, 2022. Each student presented their project, demonstrating the different topics and subjects in mathematics, including pure math, math education and pure education. The committee members comprised Prof. Dr Mowafaq Muhammed, Dr Orhan Tug, Dr Abdulnasir Isah, Dr Salisu Ibrahim, Dr Aziza Kavlu and Mr David Wafula Waswa.
During the first session, students were required to present their dissertations, which the committee members then evaluated. In the second session, professors shared helpful feedback with the students and discussed the amendments required. The pre-defence presentations were designed to prepare students for their final defence and help them obtain feedback on their research prior to the final defence to ensure the last stage is not distressing or complicated. The pre-defence examination committee evaluated a total of 17 projects presented by 17 students.
