Final Defence and Lunch with 4th Graders
On June 19th,2022, 4th stage students of the Mathematics Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University presented their final defence to the department committee. Each student presented their project, demonstrating the different topics and subjects in mathematics, including pure mathematics, mathematics education and pure education. The committee members comprised Prof. Dr Mowafaq Muhammed, Dr Orhan Tug, Assist Prof. Dr Abdulnasir Isah, Assist. Prof.Dr Salisu Ibrahim, Dr Aziza Kavlu, Mr David Wafula Waswa and Assist. Prof. Dr Younis Sabawy.
In the first session, students were required to present their dissertations, which the committee members then evaluated. In the second session, professors shared helpful feedback with the students and discussed the amendments required. All defences were successfully conducted and proved to be beneficial for students. After the sessions were completed, Dr Orhan Tug, Head of Department of Mathematics Education, invited all students, committee members and staff for lunch at Anteb Tadi Restaurant.
The Head of Department delivered a speech where he welcomed all attendees and congratulated all fourth-stage students on their accomplishments. He also presented appreciation letters to all academic staff members. Dr Orhan Tug thanked them for their consistent hard work and effort in providing the best educational experience to our students. A total of 17 students and 13 academic staff joined the lunch.
