On Wednesday, 6th November, Grade 6 students from the British International School, Kurdistan (BISK) visited Tishk International University (TIU) on an enriching academic tour. The students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Orhan Tug, the Head of the Mathematics Education Department.
The visit began with a guided tour of the department, where the BISK students explored various educational resources and facilities. Following the tour, the students participated in a lively question and answer session in the Mathematics model classroom. TIU lecturers and students showcased the use of physical manipulatives in teaching, demonstrating their significance in making mathematics both fun and engaging.
The BISK students were captivated by the interactive demonstrations and enjoyed learning new mathematical tricks. The visit concluded with smiles all around, as the students left with a deeper appreciation for mathematics.
