On December 7th, 2022, the head of the department accompanied by a department staff paid a visit to a public school in Kawrgosk, Hawler where a graduate of the department, Mr. Yusuf works and teaches mathematics. After last year’s successful project with Batas High School for Boys/Girls, it is once again part of this year’s plan of the department to design a math classroom in public schools where our graduated students teach. On 26th October 2022, the department of Mathematics Education in the faculty of Education at Tishk International University held a national workshop on Teaching and Learning of Mathematics. This was the 2nd such workshops held by the department and the theme for this year was Effective and Sustainable Use of Technology in Teaching University Level Mathematics.
