On Monday October 29, 2018 the head of Mathematics Education Department, introduced the mathematics days for the academic year 2018-2019. As a departmental plan for every year, mathematics education department organizes a variety of social and academic activities throughout the year so that students can get benefit from. Attending the Math Days provide the students great opportunities to engage and increase their mathematical knowledge.
One of the main and primary objectives of Education Faculty is organizing Social Activities for its students in order to encourage and inspire the students as well as to make an interactive, friendly and engaging environment for the students. For this reason, the Education Faculty is delighted to announce a new football tournament among the faculty departments’. The tournament is only specific for education faculty students. A great shared social activity was made by the junior students of Mathematics Education Department on Tishk International university campus. On 16th of May 2018, the junior students of Mathematics Education Department organized a lunch in the university garden. They brought Dolma, and then they invited the staff of the department. 5th Tishk International National Student Conference was held at Education Faculty on May 8th, 2018, in co-operation with the students. Vice Presidents, Deans of Faculties, and lecturers attended the conference. The event started with the opening speech by Dr. Süleyman Çelik Chair of NASCON and the Dean of Faculty of Education. The keynote speech of the conference made by Dr. Kamal Surji Academic faculty member- Hawler Medical University, Academic Consultant and Healthcare Provider-Board Certified Respiratory Care Tennessee, USA. The Faculty of Education has successfully organized his 5th International Conference on Applied Science, Energy and Environment ICASEE-2018 in cooperation with the college of education of Salahaddin University. The conference is honored by the presence of official delegates of the Kurdistan Regional Government- KRG. The high delegates of both Ministries of Higher Education and Ministry of Agriculture. 2nd NPC-2018 conference was held on 31th of March 2018 in education faculty of Tishk International University. Most of the universities around the World organize professional development programs for last grades students. Most of those significant programs are about workshops, seminars, conferences and courses. On 4th of December 2017, Mathematics Education Department organised a small trip to Tishk International University library. Students were introduced to the library and how they can get benefit from it. And how library is a significant place to spend time in regards of academic betterment and excellence. Then all staff and students including freshmen had a well-prepared meal by a junior student that made the event more excited. Thanks Zainal to your meal.
