“Bouncing Sums Game”
Playing mathematics games encourages strategic thinking, problem solving and develops fluency. They give the chance for students to apply their learning in a different context and the opportunity to explain and discuss the mathematics involved with their peers – often without fear of failure. So, On 7 December 2020, Mathematics Education Department at Tishik International University organized a competition named by “Bouncing Sums”. the aim was first to make students get interest in the competition and to show them our department is not only about teaching and studding they need to have fun than they will used during their teaching skill, also we made them to have critical thinking. At the end we ask them did you get benefit from the competition.
Each one of them they give different idea like the game teach us to be patience, time management, taking care, thinking more than doing balancing and etc. we get from them many other aide. Finally it was very nice. The competition was led by Dr. Orhan Tug head of mathematics department. The competition held in room 138, there were about 35 students as participants and all staff of mathematics department.
