On March 27th, 2019, Salahaddin University organized a ceremony of awarding an honorary doctorate to the Kurdish scientist Caucher Birkar who recently awarded the world’s famous and top prize in mathematics, Fields Medal, known as the noble of Mathematics, in Saad Abdulla Hall.
Thus, a group of students from theDepartment of Mathematics Education of Tishk International University has attended the event. The group consisted of students from second and third grade of the department. It was a remarkable and memorable event for the students since it was the first ceremony which has been organized so far to appreciate the works of a Mathematician in the Kurdistan region.
