Academic Visit to Ishik Primary School

In an enriching academic endeavour, the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) recently embarked on an insightful trip to Duhok, where they had the privilege of visiting Ishik Primary School. The journey aimed to foster a deeper understanding of educational practices and establish connections between academia and the vibrant learning environment at the primary school.

The team were warmly welcomed at Ishik Primary School, extending the spirit of collaboration. The day commenced with a gracious offering of lunch, providing a platform for informal interactions and networking between the visiting TIU delegation and the school’s teachers.

As part of the visit, the TIU team had the opportunity to explore Ishik Primary School, gaining valuable insights into its infrastructure and facilities. A guided tour around the school premises allowed them to witness firsthand the dynamic learning spaces and innovative teaching methods employed at Ishik. Dr. Orhan Tug, Head of the Mathematics Education Department, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the significance of such visits in bridging the gap between theory and practice. “Engaging with schools at the primary level allows us to understand the foundations of mathematical education and opens avenues for collaborative efforts,” Dr. Salisu Ibrahim remarked.
