Academic Trip to Duhok University
The Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an academic visit to Duhok University’s College of Basic Education, Mathematics Department, held on December 6th, 2023. The delegation, led by department staff, seized the opportunity to strengthen ties with their counterparts at Duhok University.
During the visit, the TIU team had the privilege of meeting the Head of the Mathematics Department, Dr. Muwafaq Salih and Dr. Delbrin Ahmed at Duhok University. The exchange began with a warm introduction, as TIU students graciously presented gift bags to their counterparts from Duhok, establishing a positive and collegial atmosphere.
The highlight of the visit was a meeting with the College of Basic Education’s Dean, Dr. Ramadhan Abd. The TIU delegation presented a token of appreciation, showcasing their commitment to fostering collaboration between the two universities. The discussion that ensued revolved around potential collaborations at both student and academic staff levels.
Dr. Ramadhan Abd and Dr. Muwafaq expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of joint activities involving students from both universities. The discussion touched upon organizing engaging events and activities that would not only enhance the academic experience but also promote cultural exchange.
Moreover, the conversation extended to potential collaborations among academic staff, with a focus on joint research endeavours, conferences, and workshops.
