Objectives

The program’s aspirations for the graduates are to:

  1. Develop a solid foundation in mathematics, including concepts in pre-calculus, finite mathematics, and advanced calculus and appreciate history and development of mathematics.
  2. Gain proficiency in fundamental mathematical theories, such as linear algebra, abstract algebra, complex analysis, and differential equations.
  3. Acquire strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities through extensive practice in mathematics.
  4. Enhance language proficiency in English, Turkish, and Kurdology for ease of communication, analysis, and evaluation of mathematical concepts and arguments.
  5. Understand the principles and methods of teaching mathematics, educational psychology, guidance and counselling, and pedagogical techniques preparing them to effectively engage and teach students in mathematics.
  6. Develop programming language like Python and computational skills using mathematical software such as MATLAB to solve mathematical problems and perform data analysis.
  7. Familiarize with foundational concepts in physics and their mathematical applications, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge.
  8. Engage in research projects, developing skills in conducting independent research and presenting findings in the field of mathematics.
