On May 7, 2025, a group of 11 second- and third-year students from the Mathematics Education Department at TIU participated in a community-based project at a local retirement home. The visit was organized under the supervision of Dr. Suzan Sabri and Research Assistant Maria Kawa.

During the visit, these students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful psychological conversations with elderly residents, offering companionship and listening to their life stories. The initiative was carefully planned, with prior discussions held with the facility’s management and a sociologist to ensure the activity was beneficial for the residents.

This initiative marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration aimed at fostering community connection and social responsibility among our students.
