1st KST Event (Academic Year of 2023-2024)

On the 2nd of November 2023, the 1st Kurdistan Students Talks (KST) event was held by the English Language Teaching Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU). The event brought together many students to explore the global exchange held through the IYLEP, the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program.

The event provided a platform for students to ask questions and gain insights into this transformative exchange program. The informative session included a comprehensive presentation and engaging discussions, ensuring students had a clear understanding of the opportunities offered by the IYLEP program.

The KST event aimed to gather students who were willing to explore different parts of the world and improve their leadership skills. The presentation done by Rawen Kamaran from Hawler Medical University and Sima Qader from the Computer Education Department of Tishk International University caught the crowd’s attention. As they shared their valuable experiences and insights, many students were familiarized with the concept of the IYLEP program.

Furthermore, the former IYLEP participants were invited to share their personal experiences and insights. They discussed the impact of the program on their personal growth. As the audience became better acquainted, they asked more questions about cultural exchange, leadership development, and academic opportunities. Students gained a deeper understanding of the unique opportunities the program provides, including exposure to American culture, leadership training, and community engagement.

The Kurdistan Students Talks event successfully achieved its goal of informing students about the IYLEP. As the event concluded, students left with a clearer vision of their potential involvement in the IYLEP program.
