The third Research Poster Presentation round for final year students of the English language Teaching (ELT) department was held on the January 12th, 2016. The presentations were held in Faculty of Education building. ELT teaching staff Dr. Ashraf Riadh supervised the papers (presentations) and coordinated with the students to their finalization. The number of the projects that were exhibited was 20, alluding to the participation of most of the 4th year students in the presentation event. Third grade students from ELT department paid a visit to elderly home in Erbil; On 16 December 2015 the aim of this visit was to see the elder-lies’ condition out there. The students served lunch to the elderly and they were extremely pleased with our visit. It was an emotional experience and the students had the chance to witness those people’s personal lives including their suffering and sad stories as well as the happy times .The students claimed that the visit was essential for them because they could have the opportunity to realize how other people live misery and grief in [...]

ELT 4th grades of Education Faculty had paid a visit to Darashakran Refugees Camp Primary School on Monday December 14th, 2015. At the beginning of  visit the principle of the school welcomed them warmly and he gave information about the school, students and the process of studying. They visited the classes and provided them some stationary gifts which were bought by the 4th grade students. In some of the classes our 4th grades presented the pupils short English lessons and the kids enjoyed their lessons very much. The second round of ELT’s Poster Presentation Day was held on the December 7th, at the building of Faculty of Education. The Linguistics Poster Project was supervised and coordinated by Dr. Ashraf Riadh who worked hard with the students so the event went successful. Over 50 projects were exhibited, which means most of the 3rd year students participated in the event. Students seemed enthusiastic and showed it by taking lots of pictures with their lecturers and friends.
