Practice Teaching _ Teacher Development Project
During 2020-2021 academic year Spring Semester , English Language Teaching (ELT) Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) worked on the Practice Teaching _ Teacher Development Project. The Project started on 16/02/2021. It aimed at enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of the ELT senior students in K-12 and building the bridges between the TIU and the K-12 schools. It also aimed to provide chances for making enhancement and Development. Hence the project included the following activities:
- Observation of the experienced EFL teachers in the real classes
- Introduction to the school culture, policies, environment, etc.
- Practice teaching EFL student on primary, secondary and high school level
- Increase the awareness of the importance of collaboration between students, school/teachers and parents for better education.
- Workshops, seminars, and demo-lessons
The project was managed by Dr. Mustafa Altun, Dr. Unal Ulker, and Ms. Emine Bala (TIU, Faculty of Education, ELT) and Mr. Sercan Oz (Stirling Schools).
