The Faculty of Education in Tishk International University holds a weekly debate competition between several prominent universities of kurdistan aiming to boost up the academic, critical, intellectual, and argumentation skills of undergraduate students of such universities. Among these 16 participant universities, and meanwhile running the 3rd round of the competition, Hawler medical university matches Salahaddin University. The debate session was run on 2nd May 2019 and took 1 hour and half. The debate competition witnessed the evaluation of several judges assessing the academic efficiency of the debaters on certain academic rubric. NPC-2019 3rd National POP-conference (NPC-2019) was held on 2nd of March 2019 by Education Faculty of Tishk International University. The international Women’s Day was celebrated at Tishk International University, where Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and President of TIU gave an opening speech about Women’s day and history of March 8, followed by a speech presented by Ms. Soma Abdulsalam KareemDirector of Gender Equity Center at Tishk International University. March 8 is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, They day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. A paper of Dr. Younis Sabawi, Lecturer at Mathematics Education Department, has been selected as one of the best top ten papers which Published in 2018 in top Journal (MATHEMATICS OF COMPUTATION, AMS) with impact factor (1.75) according to the SNAPR criteria which organized by Kscien.
