Field Trip Enhances Practical Understanding of Ecology
On November 2nd, 2025, students from the Biology Education Department participated in a scientific field trip to Sami Abdulrahman Park, where they conducted practical studies on invertebrates. The trip was supervised by Mrs. Sawsan Hamid and Mrs. Shnyar Qadir, who guided students throughout the exploration.
Hands-On Learning Experience
During the visit, students:
-
Examined various natural habitats within the park
-
Observed a range of invertebrate species in their natural environments
-
Learned about organisms’ physical characteristics, classification, and ecological significance
Educational Value
The activity provided a valuable hands-on learning experience, helping students gain deeper insights into:
-
The diversity of invertebrates in local ecosystems
-
The essential role of invertebrates in maintaining ecological balance
-
Real-world biological systems through direct observation
Bridging Theory and Practice
This field trip enriched students’ understanding of real-world biological systems and strengthened the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of biology education.
