Scientific trip to Salahaddin University Herbarium
On May 10th, 2022, the Biology Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, organized a trip to Salahaddin University Herbarium to learn about the plants from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq that have been stored since 1978. Medicinal plants, parasitic plants and casual herbs are the plants stored in the herbarium.
The trip aimed to familiarize students with the plants they studied in the Plant Taxonomy Course during the Spring Semester. During the trip, Dr Mahmoud Dogara and Miss Shnyar Qadir assigned students to measure the parameters quantitatively or qualitatively.
The biology department staff and students appreciated the herbarium expert’s assistance and the detailed explanation of all plants she provided during the visit.
