Freshman Orientation Programme

The Biology Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University welcomed freshmen students of the new 2021-2022 academic year. An orientation programme was organized by the department on December 18th, 2021, to introduce the new students to life at TIU and facilitate a smooth transition.

The student orientation programme aimed to familiarize the newcomers with an unknown campus environment, its infrastructure, regulations, procedures and activities. The event enabled students to make the initial connections within their new academic journey, and develop a network among their classmates and staff members of the department.

The Head of the Department of Biology Mr. Harmand Ali delivered a speech to the freshmen students and warmly welcomed them. Students were also informed about the department’s history and were introduced to the university and faculty staff members

Further, Research Assistants delivered a seminar about Tishk International University’s website and how they can departmental announcements and news, access lecturer notes, PIS system, and the Dean of Students.
