As part of the ongoing outreach activities of the Biology Education Department, Faculty of Education, students have taken an active role in expanding the digital reach of Tishk International University (TIU) and connecting with prospective students through social media, online communities, and digital communication platforms. Their efforts have particularly focused on reaching Grade 12 students and providing them with accessible and useful information as they prepare for their university education.
Ismail Jalal contributed to the department’s digital outreach by preparing informative content and compiling graduate employment statistics and related information for the Biology Education Department. These materials were designed to provide prospective students with a clearer understanding of the department, its graduates, and the potential career opportunities associated with the program.
Hunar Mohammed contributed to expanding the visibility of TIU’s promotional content by preparing materials and communicating with well-known social media pages across the region. He worked to facilitate the sharing and resharing of information from the university’s official platforms, helping university announcements and opportunities reach a wider audience.
Danya Lawand and Sana Osama focused on direct online engagement with prospective students by joining Grade 12 student groups and school-related online communities. Through these groups, they shared information, announcements, and guidance about Tishk International University, its academic programs, admission opportunities, and the Biology Education Department, helping students access relevant information during an important stage of their educational planning.
Zhyawa Raqib and Sara Sideeq further supported the outreach efforts by using their public social media accounts to share information about Tishk International University and its academic opportunities, extending the visibility of university-related content through their own online networks.
This vision of expanding the department’s reach through direct community engagement was also reflected in the involvement of Asia Qadir, who visited her former school, Fidraly Kchan High School, to share information about Tishk International University and the Biology Education Department. During her visit, she distributed university and departmental brochures and introduced students to the university’s academic programs, admission opportunities, and educational pathways. By returning to her former school and sharing her own experience as a university student, Asia created a direct and relatable connection with prospective students, demonstrating how Biology Education students can use their personal networks and communities to extend the department’s outreach beyond the university campus.
Dlgash Nasrullah also contributed to the department’s digital outreach by publishing and sharing TIU brochures and promotional information. Her contribution helped make information about the university, its academic programs, admission opportunities, and available offers more accessible to prospective students.
Together, these students contributed to a coordinated student-led digital outreach effort, using different platforms and approaches to broaden awareness of Tishk International University, the Faculty of Education, and the Biology Education Department. Their contributions included preparing and sharing informative content, communicating with Grade 12 communities, supporting the circulation of official university announcements, engaging with established social media pages, and promoting information about academic programs, admission opportunities, student opportunities, and available offers.
Through these efforts, the students demonstrated how active student participation can strengthen university outreach in the digital space, creating additional channels for communication with prospective students and helping them access reliable information about their future educational opportunities.
