Chemical Composition of Bryophyllum Pinnatum

The Department of Biology, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University organized a seminar titled: Chemical Composition of Bryophyllum Pinnatum held on April 14th, 2021. The seminar was presented by Dr. Abdulrahman Mahmoud Dogara Assist. Prof at the Department of Biology Education.

The seminar aimed to explain how plants have long been a vital part of life in many traditional cultures around the world, mainly those in Africa. Plants are highly significant in traditional healing.

Since prehistoric times, medicinal and aromatic plants have been an essential source of human health care and are still used in the modern healthcare system. An unlimited number of plants are utilized as medicine all over the world. In Nigeria, a wide range of plants have traditionally been used to cure several ailments and disorders. These herbs, typically used in synergistic combinations, are as effective as commercially available drugs and are frequently preferred by a larger segment of society.
