On May 2026, students from the Biology Education Department at Tishk International University organized an educational field trip to Shex Turab under the supervision of Sawsan Hamid, Abdulrahman Dogara, Shnyar Qadir, and Dana.

The primary aim of the trip was to collect and study different insect species in their natural habitats as part of the students’ practical entomology training. During the visit, students observed insect diversity, and they found a few samples for academic purposes.

In addition to the scientific activities, the students participated in a community service project dedicated to environmental awareness and public cleanliness. The team worked together to clean the area by collecting waste and removing plastic materials from the environment. Furthermore, students distributed plastic bags among visitors to encourage proper waste disposal and promote environmental responsibility.

The field trip successfully combined scientific learning with community engagement, reflecting the department’s commitment to environmental sustainability, teamwork, and practical education.
